About Post 143
AMERICAN LEGION STEVEN H NIPP POST 143
We are a dedicated facility designed to support and serve military veterans. We aim to create a welcoming environment where veterans can connect with others who share similar experiences, receive resources, and find community. We offer a variety of services such as counseling, job placement assistance, recreational activities, and social support. Furthermore we offer various nutritious meals throughout the week, ensuring veterans, their families and our community have access to social and physical nourishment in a supportive environment. As a non-profit organization we depend on the generosity of donations, grants, and volunteer efforts to fund our programs, with any excess funds being reinvested to further our mission to support our veterans.

Veterans helping Veterans. Helping the Community.
Our History
Post 143 was incorporated in July 1984 by John Dunlap, and located in "the round building" at E. 601 Seltice Way in Post Falls. John Dunlap commanded the Post from it's inception until the time of his death in 2012 - nearly 30 years. The current building on Poleline Road was built in 2007. The Post officially changed it's name to the Steven H. Nipp Post 143 a few years later.
